Read below for the rules we MUST follow to hold Team Penning / Cow Work

Because we can only have 16 MEMBERS on the grounds at a time, FOR NOW

                                               TEAM PENNING/ Ranch Horse  2020 information:

                                                      $25.00 for Juniors
                                                      $30.00 for Seniors

Our first Team Penning night will be on Saturday, August 15th and continue every Saturday except those indicated below.  Reservations ARE REQUIRED.  Please call Scott Colvin at  415-716-1927 starting the Monday  before the date you wish to attend.  You may only make a reservation for the current week.  If you realize that you will not be able to attend please cancel your reservation by the Friday before your reservation so that anyone on a wait-list can have an opportunity to participate.

Please keep in mind the following requirements, if you plan to ride:

• PENNING:  There will be a maximum of 6 teams (7 teams may be possible if 2 people volunteer to work the event and ride).
• Reservations ARE REQUIRED.  If you don’t have a reservation, please do not just show up.  You will be turned away.
• No spectators or additional people.  We can only have a maximum of 16 people at each event.
• You will have to allow your temperature to be taken (no contact), upon entering the grounds and answer a few questions about your health status.
• Masks are required when not riding.
• Maintain a social distance of 6 feet.
• Sanitize ALL surfaces you come in contact with.  Sanitizer will be available at gates and other areas.
• Bring your own food.  No cooking, BBQ’g, etc.

As always, please plan to arrive early to help set-up and plan to stay a little after to help get everything put away.  Many hands make quick work, which leads to more time for FUN!!

During the drier months, from May to October, we have cattle events, gymkhanas, playdays, trail tests and horse shows.  Please see our calendar for exact dates.

Please note, participation in all club events requires NHI membership unless otherwise advertised.
The Novato Stars Horse Shows are open to everyone.
But our NHI and NHJ members pay a reduced entry fee per class.
